Thought Cycles of Belief

By Becky Rishe

The following demonstrates how we set ourselves up for a given situation by allowing our psyche to use an old “tape” for the new situation, therefore permitting the old response to result in the same manner, thereby reinforcing our old belief.

This also sets itself more deeply into our map of reality so we are more likely to spin our wheels (so to speak) entrenching ourselves in a false belief that will set us up for failure every time in that instance. Enter the saboteur!

How do we get programmed?

How do we maintain the Programming?

How do we change it?

What is real?

The Cycle

Conditioning is a process of observation and reinforcement.

How do we break the program?

How do we maintain the awareness?

How do we keep the change?

How do we determine what is real?

What are the ingredients of personal transformation?

What in my language needs to change?

Changing the Cycle

It is only a thought and a thought can be changed.

Cycles to Change

Decide what is real.
Be in present time.
Set a single goal.

Make a conscious effort to see things in a different light.
Rid yourself of old thoughts that no longer serve you.

Break up your old belief system.
Move on to new thoughts!

Recognize the slightest change in the other's response.

Recognize and own your response and changes.

What is my choice?
What really took place?
Do I have expectations?
What did I hear vs. waht was said?
Am I in present?

Honor yourself and the present.
Do not set limits.
Do not have expectations.
Let the moment unfold.

Adjust your attitude to one of discovery.
Be open to new experience.

Don't generalize.
Don't attach to the results.
Ask yourself, "Do I wish to experience Peace or Conflict?
Forgive.

Act in present time.
Act in truth.
Do not react,
Act consciously.

Watch your language.
Notice your triggers.
Process Consciously.

Take small steps.
Forgive yourself when you slip backwards.
