
Dr Poornima Madan is an academician, researcher, and trainer with over 17 years of experience across corporate and academic domains. A PhD holder and UGC-NET qualified professional, she holds an MBA (HR) and a Diploma in Training and Development from ISTD. She is currently serving as Assistant Professor (OB & HR) and Chair – MDP & Consultancy at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida.
As a certified NFNLP Trainer, FIRO-B practitioner, and POSH trainer, Dr Madan brings strong expertise in behavioural training and human development. Her core competencies include leadership development, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, interpersonal effectiveness, team building, conflict management, and personal productivity. She specialises in designing and delivering high-impact learning interventions focused on self-awareness, behaviour change, and workplace effectiveness. Dr Madan has facilitated Management Development Programs and training interventions for organisations such as Polynomous Industries Pvt. Ltd., Jaipuria Schools, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, NHPC, OBC, Punjab and Sindh Bank, Digital Synergies, and Benz Packaging Solutions. Her key training areas include POSH awareness, building trust and psychological safety, high-performing teams, personal effectiveness, time management, leadership development, interpersonal relationships, and emotional intelligence.
She teaches Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Performance Management Systems, and has extensive experience in areas such as talent management, organizational change, and cross-cultural management. Her research work is widely published in A*, A, and Scopus-indexed (Q1) journals including International Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, International Journal of Conflict Management, and Human Resource Development Quarterly. She also serves as a reviewer for leading ABDC-listed journals.
Dr Madan is also the lead editor of the book “Re-envisioning Organizations: A Practitioner’s Guide to Work, Workforce, and Workplace” (Productivity Press, Taylor & Francis). Known for her structured, insight-driven, and application-oriented approach, she effectively integrates research, coaching, and experiential learning to create meaningful and lasting impact in individuals and organisations.
